2026 Evaluations **ADDITIONAL UPDATES AND REGISTERation LINK

  • All players that are registering this season must attend evaluations.  *Except U7*
  • Players will need to bring a glove, fielding mask, bat and batting helmet to evaluations.  It is also a good idea to bring a water bottle.
  • The Foothills Fury Fastpitch Association does not share evaluation results.  If your player would like feedback, they may do so in writing to the president
  • Any players that make Top Tier will have an additional fee of $50.00 that will be collected by the team for additional CMSA fees.
  • Players are only permitted to participate in one evaluation session this year. This limitation is due to the lack of available time allocated to us at the fieldhouse for evaluations.

Evaluation Registration

2026 LINKS COMING SOON!

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Girls MUST be registered for the 2026 season in order to evaluate.

  • No athlete will be allowed to evaluate if they are not registered.
  • Once selected to play on a tiered team players must be completely committed to their team for the duration of the season.

Play Up Policy

The Fury believes that most players will develop better at their age appropriate category than at an age category above. We do recognize, that however rare, highly talented players may exist and want to provide themselves an opportunity to play in the next age category within the association.

  • Athletes wishing to play up MUST contact president@foothillssoftball.ca and inform Fury of their interest.
  • Athletes MUST be in the second year of their current age category for consideration.
  • We must balance teams first and foremost. Any player who wants to play outside their category MUST evaluate in both age categories to ensure they can safely play with older athletes.
  • For an athlete to play up an age category on a Tier 1 team they must evaluate in the Top 3 overall of the age group they wish to play in.

**PLEASE NOTE**

There are no guarantees that an athlete will be granted a spot on a team for an age category above where they belong

Time commitment for Tier 1 team includes:

 - Two league games a week played in Calgary, Okotoks and surrounding areas.

 - One to two practices a week – at coaches discretion.

 - Two to three tournaments played throughout the season on weekends, and some travel may be involved

 - ** - Provincials will run in July. These could be hosted at any location in Alberta.
